Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC) was founded in Rochester, New York, in 1888 and incorporated in 1897, the same year in which what is now known as the Sanor appliance was patented. The corporation manufactures and sells several-hundred specialty chemicals for water treatment, food safety, building maintenance, and the printing industry. The focus of RMC's mission today is to provide the complete service to the customer: identification of needs, appropriate products and their applications, 

follow-up, and ongoing consultation to enable the success 
of the customer today. RMC conducts business in every state, as well as internationally. RMC's field representatives are trained to identify manufacturing and sanitation problems and to assist our customers in the design of effective and economical systems.

Medical -Our insurance includes a massive network of providers; comprehensive benefits and the Company shares the cost of your medical premium through a Health Reimbursement Account.

Dental - We offer a Basic Plan and an Enhanced Plan with the ability to visit the dental provider of your choice.

Flexible Spending Account  -Employees can elect to save money pre-tax to pay for approved medical or childcare expenses. Funds may be used to pay for medical, pharmacy, dental or vision expenses as well as licensed daycare expenses. Unused balances expire at the end of the year.

Life Insurance - The Company provides a policy for you; you can purchase additional insurance for yourself, for your spouse, for your dependent(s).

Short Term Disability - This is a company-paid policy that provides some short-term financial protection for you in the case of injury or illness that is not job-related.

Long Term Disability - The Company provides this policy in the event an illness extends beyond 6 months; you may purchase an additional amount of insurance above what the Company provides.

Employee Assistance Program -The Employer provides a comprehensive EAP program including access to trained counselors, self-help learning and more.

Supplemental Insurance - You also have the opportunity to purchase Critical Illness, Accident, and/or Hospital Indemnity insurance for you and your family.

Retirement - Defined Contribution Plans:

  • 401(k) - Rochester Midland offers the opportunity to plan for retirement with a 401(k) account
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) - An annual discretionary allocation in the form of company stock may be provided.
