The US Center for Disease Control’s SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) information page recommends that people clean all frequently touched surfaces every day, as well as any surfaces that may have blood, body fluids and/or secretions or excretions on them. They suggest the use of a diluted bleach solution or a household disinfectant with label claims against human coronaviruses.

Approved disinfectants under the EPA’s Emerging Viral Pathogen Guidance

The EPA has announced the Emerging Viral Pathogen Guidance policy is now in effect, which means that if a disinfectant has a kill claim against a similar virus, it is suitable for disinfection against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) .
